Things You Probably Didn't Know

I always love finding out behind the scenes secrets or interesting things about a film that you generally don’t notice when you watch the film. So I have compiled a list of interesting little facts that you probably did not know about some very well known films.

1. Inception – most of the character names have a hidden meaning behind them. The word “Cobb,” the last name of Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, means “dream” in Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi. Ironic?

2. The Women – there is not a single male used in the film, not even any male extras in the background.

3. Home Alone - The picture Kevin finds of Buzz's girlfriend was actually a picture of a boy made up to look like a girl because the director thought it would be too cruel to make fun of a girl like that.

4. Fast and Furious 5 – 300 cars were purchased for the film, 200 of them were destroyed. The cars that survived the stunts were used in the background.

5. Fight Club – In the beginning of the film there are four flashes of Tyler, he only appears for a brief second, and they are hard to notice. Towards the end of the film there is a flash of a penis.

6. Star Wars – the voice of Yoda is played by Frank Oz who is also the voice of ‘Miss Piggy’.

7. Toy Story – This film was originally going to be called ‘You Are a Toy’. How dull?

The list is endless, but that’s all for now!

What interesting little tit-bits do you know about some films?
