The pressure is on.
It’s only a few more sleeps before the MTV Movie Awards air on Sunday 5 June.
Which will it be to walk away with the most Golden Popcorn awards? The vamps and wolves from Twilight, or the magical threesome from HP?
Twilight’s Eclipse has the most nominations with eight, whilst Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 has six.
Romping in the lilacs
Opinions are mixed with fans unable to decide between the two. On the one hand we have the Team Edward/Team Jake scenario which helps to shore up the adolescent angst of teenage girls. On the other, it’s the climatic first part of the finale double-bill in which HP will surely triumph against the evil he-who-cannot-be-named.

Certainly the award for ‘Best Kiss’ will go to the whimpering Bella and her undead beau Edward - it would be their third year running. Hardly the stuff of The Notebook and Spiderman (previous winners).Far rather it went for the kiss between her and her lupine amour Jake, also nominated. Outside chance would be the awkward, eugh moment when Hermione and Harry lip-locked. I squirm with the memory.
The two films come head to head again for Best Fight. Harry, Hermione and Ron against the Death Eaters, or Edward versus crazy Victoria and her side-kick Riley. I'm going with the hall-way fight in Inception.
But considering that your biggest voting public is nearly always teenage girls, I know where my money’s going come Sunday night. Twilight, Twilight, Twilight, with maybe one HP win for good measure.
