New Hollywood Flavour

Is Rachel Weisz the new Hollywood flavour? Yes, this London born actress had been in the movie industry since 1994, where she made her debut with the film Death Machine, and she is most popularly known for her role as Evy in The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001), but since then she hasn’t really done anything news worthy, until now.

Rachel is in talks to play the leading female role in the new Bourne Legacy, a much anticipated, highly popular franchise, but that’s only the tip of the ice berg. The following movies are all films where Rachel will have either a leading or a large role to play.
Page Eight (2011) is a contemporary spy film. Rachel will play a political activist named Nancy Pierpan. The Deep Blue See (drama/romance) will also be released sometime this year. It’s about a British judge caught in a self-destructive love affair with a royal air force pilot. Dream House (30 September 2011) is a mystery thriller about a family that learns of a brutal crime that was committed against the former residents of the house they purchased. Rachel will also play a role in the 2012 untitled Terrence Malick (The Thin Red Line) drama/romance project. Another 2012 film that will star Rachel is titled 360, a drama/romance that looks at what happens when partners from different social backgrounds engage in a physical relationship. The Danish Girl (2012, drama) is inspired by the true story of a Danish painter and his California-born wife. Now Rachel is also said to be in negotiations to play one of the evil witches in Oz: The Great And Powerful and, as previously mentioned, the female lead role in The Bourne Legacy.
I’m delighted that Hollywood has finally realized Rachel’s talents as an actress; I just hope so many movies so close together won’t be over kill. What’s your opinion on the actress Rachel Weisz?
