Danny Boyle's 2000-directed film, The Beach was on eTV on Thursday night. It is a good film in my opinion. I could even stomach the "gameboy jungle run".
However, this post is not a review. What struck me about the movie was it made me ask the question again; what happened to the French costars of the man who is now one of the world's biggest actors, Leonardo Di Caprio?
Well, both the guy, Guillaume Canet and the girl, Virginie Ledoyen respectively, went on to star in French movies. I think they did this because they enjoy French cinema or people in the US do not rate them as actors or they have just been unlucky in getting roles in US films.
