Freedom Fighter Could Scare Away Viewers

The new Marvel movie, Captain America: The First Avenger will just be called The First Avenger in certain countries, Associated Press reported on Wednesday.

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios were worried that anti-American sentiment would turn many viewers in foreign territories, away from the film, giving distributors around the world the option of shortening the title to "The First Avenger".

Yet the only countries that did this were Russia, Ukraine and South Korea. The villain in the film and comic book upon which it is based is called The Red Skull. He is supposed to be a Nazi but he looks red so maybe he could be seen as a Russian by some folks too? Some Ukrainians may feel similar but I do not know how South Korea fits in.
